Pump Station Control Pump Station Control
Pump control valves (PCVs) are required to accurately control fluid outlet pressure to operate the pipeline and transport fluid cost-effectively.

Pump control valves (PCVs) are required to accurately control fluid outlet pressure to operate the pipeline and transport fluid cost-effectively.

Variable frequency drive (VFD) pumps are capable of 99% or better uptime, and during those times, the pump station valve may be wide open or at a large opening. If the VFD fails, the pump station valve will be required to accurately and effectively control the fluid pressure without any vibration or noise problems.

The PCV is required to operate very quickly for surge control and have excellent pressure efficiency to ensure the station is operating at the lowest cost for pumping a barrel of liquid.

The Emerson Fisher™ V250 Rotary Control Valve, Fisher™ V260 Ball Control Valve and Fisher™ E-body are all designed to provide excellent PCV operation and can meet the critical operating requirements of pipeline transmission companies.
