IntelliSAW™ Partial Discharge Air Interface
The Partial Discharge Air Interface senses partial discharge (PD) events through collection of Ultra High Frequency (UHF) transmissions as well as providing RF coupling to system wireless temperature sensors. The system captures PD data and provides operators baseline asset health information that can be monitored over time. Advanced algorithms in the IntelliSAW system provide users trending information and configurable alarms to notify operators of any increase in PD activity.

Features

  • Continuous low-cost UHF PD monitoring on powered electrical assets serves as an early warning for any PD related issues in an asset.
  • Monitors multiple UHF frequency bands for redundancy and accuracy.
  • Frequency bands can be enabled, disabled, or algorithmically suppressed to eliminate interference and provide for greater accuracy.
  • Magnetic mounts on the Air Interface allow for quick and easy installation in electrical assets.
  • Low-Profile design accommodates required air gap insulation in MV and LV assets, more easily meeting Basic Insulation Level (BIL) requirements.
