Clarity for the machines that keep your operation moving. Clarity for the machines that keep your operation moving.

Turn condition data into maintenance action.

Clarity helps facilities expand monitoring coverage without building a new internal technology stack. Caltrol manages the monitoring infrastructure and supports your team with clear machine-health priorities, analyst interpretation, and practical next steps.

Vibration Monitoring, Explained

Machines often show signs of trouble before they fail.

Every motor, pump, fan, gearbox, and other rotating machine produces vibration while it runs. When the machine is healthy, that vibration usually follows a repeatable pattern. As components wear, loosen, lose lubrication, or move out of alignment, the pattern changes. Vibration monitoring captures those changes so maintenance teams can investigate before a condition becomes a breakdown.

A sensor or portable analyzer measures movement at the bearing housing along with supporting information such as temperature and machine speed.

The readings are trended against the machine’s normal operating behavior. A sustained increase or a new vibration pattern can indicate a developing problem.

An analyst reviews the vibration frequencies, waveform, operating conditions, and history to determine what the machine may be telling us.

The goal is not simply to create an alarm. It is to give your team enough information and time to inspect, lubricate, align, repair, or continue monitoring the asset.

What can vibration monitoring help detect?

Different faults create different vibration signatures. Common findings include:
IMBALANCE
MISALIGNMENT
MECHANICAL LOOSENESS
BEARING WEAR
LUBRICATION PROBLEMS
GEAR DEFECTS
RESONANCE
PROCESS-RELATED VIBRATION
Important: Vibration monitoring is an early-warning and diagnostic tool. The quality of the result depends on correct sensor placement, operating context, good baseline data, and experienced analysis.

Clarity is designed for customers who need broader equipment visibility but do not want another system that depends on scarce internal IT and reliability resources.

  • Scalable monitoring coverage: Start with a focused group of assets and expand by facility, process area, or criticality.
  • Customer-facing dashboards: View enterprise, facility, asset, alert, sensor-health, and reliability-win information in one place.
  • Actionable communication:Receive findings in language maintenance and operations teams can use—not just raw vibration values.
  • Local field support: Caltrol can assist with installation, startup, alarm setup, reporting, validation, and corrective services.

Machine Monitoring Without Building Another Internal System.

Traditional monitoring projects can require hardware purchases, software infrastructure, internal IT resources, and specialized vibration expertise. Clarity is designed to remove those barriers.

Caltrol provides the monitoring technology, implementation, dashboards, analyst review, reporting, and ongoing program support as one coordinated service.

Your team receives useful machine-health information and clear maintenance recommendations—without having to become vibration or software experts.
